Feasibility Study
Investing in a new or existing energy system is often a significant investment. You want to be sure you’re making a choice that’s future-proof and cost-efficient. In a Four Energy feasibility study, we study various scenarios, so you can make the right choice for your company or real estate development. Whether you want to disconnect from natural gas, switch to fully electric, or simply adjust your business processes, we conduct feasibility studies for existing or newly constructed real estate developments. These include commercial buildings, business parks, schools, residential neighborhoods, and apartment buildings.
Our Approach
- Intake – In a consultation with our energy specialist, we map out the situation and your requirements.
- Analysis – We collect the necessary data and conduct an analysis that serves as the basis for the configuration.
- Configuration – Based on the analysis, we create one or more configurations for an energy system and calculate the various scenarios. We present the results in the feasibility study.
- Implementation Recommendation – – Based on the various scenarios, we recommend the most ideal configuration for implementing the measures.

Benefits of a Four Energy Feasibility Study
- Smart – The feasibility study focuses heavily on the consumption profile and identifies opportunities for optimal management. With smart control, many possibilities are available within the current grid connection, and grid congestion need not be a problem.
- Compleet – Solar panels, charging stations, batteries, heat pumps, and much more. We consider all assets that play a role in the overall energy system.
- Profitable – The investment in the feasibility study pays for itself during the decision-making process and in the development and implementation phases.
- Flexible – The feasibility study is often followed by a decision-making period. Adjustments or the impact of alternative options can be implemented up to a year after the final feasibility study has been completed, and we provide additional explanations as needed.
- Subsidy-proof – Four Energy’s feasibility study qualifies for the Flex-e subsidy. In the feasibility study, we present scenarios and a recommendation that are independent of technology and supplier.
Development and Implementation
After the feasibility study, the next step begins: implementation. We do this in two steps. A development phase involves working out the technology and business case in detail. We then oversee the implementation of the energy system from a single point of contact.
We collaborate with various installers during the development and implementation phases, including our partner Schouten Techniek. We can also help you select a suitable installer, or we can work with your local installer.
Exploitation and operation
Four Energy can also handle the exploitation and operation of your energy system. We prefer to call it proactive operation, as we monitor market developments throughout the operational period to optimize performance.
The advantage of this is that we can manage the energy system or adjust or expand assets based on various key principles relevant to you. Consider, for example, managing CO2 performance, increasing self-consumption of solar panels, or purchasing energy.
In addition, it’s possible to include investment costs in the operation, so that the investment in the energy system falls to Four Energy.
